Bliss Beach was founded to gather friends for sunny beach days in a new level of comfort and style. Inspired by a background in travel and safari, this personal experiment gave way to a world of inventive experiences. As we have grown, so too has our team and purpose which has always been to build community — and bettering the beach communities and ecosystems we love.
LUXURY BEACH
From Luxury Travel to
Bliss Beach was as much a fortuitous accident as it was no accident at all.
After living in Africa and working in the non-profit sector, Brian Jones founded a travel company called Kin Travel to design travel experiences in partnership with leading conservationists. From sailing expeditions off the coast of Haiti to luxury safaris throughout Africa, every trip focuses on leveraging travel in support of community-owned conservation efforts, particularly empowering women and girls within’ them.
After moving to California, Brian designed a pop-up living room to host friends on the sand for ‘sundowners,’ a tradition on safari — which he lovingly named the Safari Room. Neighbors would ask if they could rent the set-up and a fortuitous experiment began to grow. Then the pandemic came, travel stopped and this little passion project became an unexpected livelihood and source of community for him and a whole team of wonderful people.

Our team is comprised of local swiss-army-knives with backgrounds in hospitality, production and events — all of whom know the beaches and how to host a heck of a party.

We provide event infrastructure for local conservation organizations, schools for fundraising and local activism efforts.
In 2024, we plan to lock a portion of all reservations to invest in innovative conservation efforts creating livelihoods in the communities we serve. -
We leverage the community we build in support of our partners, from beach cleanups to matching donations for funding focus initiatives.
